I bought one of these from Skype about a year ago and used it via the USB connector on my computers and via the 3.5 mm plug on my iPhone. It really is the best headset I tried. Even on the iPhone, the sound came through clear on both ends of the call. It's not compact, but it's reasonably comfortable and it works. Worked.
Unfortunately it broke just after a year's light use. I used it a few dozen times at most.
I was concerned that my headset was not covered under warranty since I never received any confirmation or proof of purchase either by email or in the package. Also, the one page `manual' enclosed in the package said there is a 3 year warranty but their website shows a 12 month warranty.
I contacted Freetalk/Instore support via their web contact form and received a response about 24 hours later. They immediately located my order number, confirmed the headset has a 3 year warranty, and are sending a replacement no questions asked, no need to return the defective headset. It took 3 emails to accomplish this, with a 12-24 hour wait between each one.
I took a star off because the headset broke after minor use, and because the distributor is not easy to contact, has conflicting warranty information and didn't include any proof of purchase.
By the way, I recently ordered a second headset from InStore Solutions on Amazon.com. The headset came within a few days (Skype's took over 6 weeks) but also was missing any proof of purchase, although I received an email confirmation from the merchant.
