(More customer reviews)I have a Plantronics headset that has two plugs, one for headphones and one for microphone. My Lenovo thinkpad W510 has a jack that supports headphones with microphone. This adapter plugs into that fancy jack, and my headphone plugs connect to the adapter, resulting in a usable headset without having to use the USB adapter that came with the headset, that lacks linux drivers. The only improvement that I can think of is a 90-degree plug, so the wire isn't in the way of my mouse on the right side of the computer.
