(More customer reviews)I see others don't give this product a good rating. But let me tell you my experience has been great. I have had no issues with crashes or locking up. I have more than a few computers, laptops and tablets around home/work and this, by far, is my #1 FAV. It's just so cool to navigate and do stuff with your hands.
I received this all-in-one HP PC about 2 weeks ago and have had a positive experience so far with everything I've done. I was a little worried about the responsiveness of the touch screen based on the experience I had with a floor model of an HP I played with a few months ago (don't remember what model that one was), but no need to worry. This computer is within my range of acceptable touchability and desire for low frustrations with computers. I can swipe, execute, pinch to zoom, pretty much everything with my hand/fingers. In fact, I would say it's almost too sensitive and fast to react. Let me explain. I have this PC on the kitchen counter and my (bad) cats get on the counter. If the computer is in a sleep stage and a cat's tail or whiskers touch the screen - it wakes the computer up. So I'll walk into the kitchen at times and the computer is awake. If the computer is on and they sniff it, the mouse will move. Actually I find it kind of funny. Also to note, if I put bags or something on the counter, and a handle brushes the screen, that will also wake up the computer. Perhaps there's a setting to reduce sensitivity, but I'm not going to worry about it. Just wanted to note that it doesn't take much to wake the thing up or for the screen to react.
Windows 7 performs nicely. I purchased a $16 antenna and plugged that in for TV input. I set up a few recordings within WMC and it works like a charm. The remote is very nice to have. I've always got the `TV' on when I'm in the kitchen, either watching live or something I recorded. Huge storage, with 1T, so no worries about filling that up with recordings any time soon. Built is speakers are fine, nothing going to blow your socks off, but adequate for my purposes.
Initial PC setup and connection to home WiFi was a breeze. I was sharing files/folders in a matter of minutes. The HP desktop preinstalled apps have several things that I really like, such as a Recipe Box. You can snag recipes from websites and keep them cataloged in the Recipe Box. There is much that this PC can do that I have yet to discover.
So far so good, and I want another one for my office!
