(More customer reviews)As far as throat mic's go, it's great and works as expected. The design uses a plastic with some adjustments, rather than some elastic clips other non-PC throat mics will use. It's even mindful of the PC gamer wanting to use it as a mic without it's earpeice by letting you unplug the entire earpeice bit. This means if you're using it for gaming and still want to use your surround sound headset, you can just plugin the mic input for the throat mic.
Unfortunately, you have to remember just what a throat mic is and how it works. Throat mics come through muffled. Using this mic on teamspeak/ventrilo proved difficult to be understood. This could be due to the fact that different people have different variance of clarity based on they necks.. the documentation used a term for it, but I forget the wording. My last option to overcome this is to see if I can use application or driver options on the sound card to help, but I doubt it.
It does what it is supposed to well. It could be more comfortable if using a different design. Remember that throat mics are muffled, and if sitting at a PC you probably would be happier with a boom mic due to this fact, but it connects the mic+earphones and this present it's own debacle.
