(More customer reviews)I've tried a few different stand alone mics to use with my hd-555, and this one takes the cake. I play Counter-Strike:Source competitively and the previous mics I used left something to be desired in terms of quality in vent and especially in game. Not this mic. As soon as I plugged it in my teammates commented how I no longer sounded like I was in a fish bowl. One thing I was worried about was the fact that the mic is omni-directional, but as long as the environment you're playing in is relatively quiet, the mic quality doesn't suffer.
I'd recommend this mic for any gamer using a sennheiser product that needs a mic attachment.
