(More customer reviews)I bought this to transfer my phone recordings from my Olympus VN-7000 digital recorder to my WD external hard drive.
My Steps:
1. I just connect one end of the cable to the microphone of my digital recorder and the other end to the speaker of my laptop.
2. I use the free software version of Audacity to transfer my recording (press the record button on the digital recorder & click the record icon in Audacity menu--and voila!)
3. Once my recording is complete, I just choose from the Audacity software to save it as a ".wav" file, and I save it to my external hard drive.
